Dear Steve. Thank you for your note of gratitude. I've spent eight months and hundreds of hours working on IsraelsMessiah.com. There were times I was tormented by doubt, wondering if spending so much time on the web site was worth it. Each time doubt crept in on me, God foresaw you reading what I had posted about the love of Jesus, and in His love for you, He encouraged me to continue. All that I have done, all the hours of work, and the hours I've spent on my knees praying that God would use the web site to bring someone to Himself has been rewarded.

Steve, your eternal soul is worth more than my lifetime of work. Your coming to the knowledge of God's Son as your only hope of salvation has limitless value. Please allow me to dedicate myself to your search for God's truth. I will not bother you with emails, but I will begin praying for you as soon as I send this email. I will lift you up in prayer, asking God to show Himself to you as your loving Father.

Trusting in Christ is the most real experience I have had in my lifetime. True Christianity is not just loose talk, or about joining one church or another, but it is a tangible life changing experience that you can feel in your heart and touch with your soul.

I am here to answer any questions that you may have. Steve, I'm 54 years old with a wife and two children. I've been a Christian for 28 years now, and I have been through the fire. I have fallen into sin in my past, I have doubted God's existence, and I have let fear overcome me when I should have trusted in the Lord. But each time God reached down, lifted me out of my sins, my doubts, and my fear, and showed me that I was His child and that He loved me.

Dear Barry, wow. Reading your response this morning actually filled my eyes with tears - that's not something that happens to me very often. I am grateful that you are willing to pray for me, to stand with me as I continue my walk.
A little bit about me. I'm 43 years old, married to my wife +++ and we have three children,+++ 13, +++ 11 and +++ 8. My two daughters are bright, normal kids but my middle boy has learning difficulties so finds life quite hard. I work in marine science and climate change research. That means that I leave home each Monday, take the train to the South Coast of England and work until Thursday at +++. Then back home Thursday evening, work from home Friday. Quite often I'm away, sometimes for a couple of months, doing research or attending meetings. I'm well educated and have travelled widely but the more I learn, the less I really 'Know'. Working in God's creation has made me powerfully aware of the Lord's majesty and splendour - there's nothing quite like a Southern Ocean storm with 13 metre waves to show you how puny we humans are. I was brought up in a liberal one-parent household so never learned properly about the Bible and Christianity. One of the first books I read as a child was Erich von Daniken's 'Chariots of the Gods' which took the view that all of the ancient religions were influenced by visiting extraterrestrials rather than God. I fell for that line as a 9 year old (this was Apollo era so space stuff made sense) and never took religion seriously until well into adulthood.
After I married and started working in science I found that many of my new colleagues were believers in one religion or another, especially the physicists who, through 'looking at the nuts and bolts' of the universe, were quite often led to a belief in a Great Designer. Meeting PhDs who could believe in God stopped me from rejecting the claims of religion out of hand and I began to search. Unfortunately, having failed to get a good understanding of Christianity I was willing to believe the claims of muslim apologists (esp. Ahmed Deedat and Fethullah Gulen) who taught that Islam was the true path, correcting the mistakes and distortions made by Christianity. At the age of 30 I converted to Islam ('reverted' in the parlance) on 30 Jan 1993 at the +++ mosque in Southampton, UK, and later followed it up with another Shahadah at +++ mosque in London. Then in April 1993 I was working alone in a lab on board ship at 3.00 am, in the midst of a strong gale, with great waves and icebergs about (we were between South Africa and Antarctica) when I thought to myself 'oh well, if the ship sinks we'd be in the papers for a day or two, our loved ones would weep for us but in time we'd be forgotten; just a line in a book somewhere'. And I carried on working. But almost as soon as I'd had that thought I felt what I could only describe as a great hug - an actual physical sensation of pressure around me, and a voice, clear as anything, in my head saying 'But you are Loved!' Then the feeling went away. I was stunned, what on Earth was THAT? I made a note in my diary to record what had happened. I was bothered that the index in my Yusuf Ali translation of the Qu'ran did not have the word Love, so my muslim path headed down more of a Sufi track from that point.

About this time the Christians at my work spotted that I was in spiritual trouble and they tried hard to win me for Christ and temporarily succeeded. For a few months in 1994 I started to attend church and I was actually baptised in October 1994 - but the excellent Pastor at that church moved on, the church became leaderless, my family were not Christians, and I failed to hold-on to Christ at that time - though I think He has quietly held on to me. The grip of Islam was too strong and I quickly slipped back into the muslim fold. But the Christian seed had been sown and never quite left me - I began to read more widely and saw that there were huge gaping holes in the Qu'ran. Why was Mary referred to as the sister of Aaron and daughter of Imran? Why were parts of the apocrypha (Jesus turning clay birds into real ones etc.) distributed in the Qu'ranic text? How could shooting stars be missiles pursuing evesdropping Jinn? How on Earth could Alexander the Great be a Prophet? Why should the creator of the Universe require us to pray in a certain manner or at particular times? If idolatry is wrong, what's with all this circling the Ka'aba? If the Qu'ran is sent to confirm the previous revelations, why does it contradict them? The list goes on and on. I then read Ibn Warraq's book "Why I am not a Muslim" and learned about Muhammad's murders of opponents, rape of captive women and so on. I began to read Hadith and Sunnah and gradually fell away from orthodox forms of islam. I was still happy with the basic idea that there is one God to whom we are accountable and will be judged by so accepted a kind of liberal universalist Islam (the sort of Islam promoted by New Muslim movements, sometimes referred to as Protestant Islam) but it's taken over 10 years to conclude that Islam is a lost cause. You can take it literally, or all as allegory. If you go for allegory then it's so vague as to be pointless universal mush. If you take it literally, you end up like Bin Laden, who is just trying to be a good muslim and follows exactly what it says in the instruction manual.

So where am I now? I'm emerging from a period of interfaith work (organising meetings where our Christian, Jewish, Muslim, Hindu and Buddhist students meet and talk about aspects of faith) and have started to read quality Christian literature. I found Lee Strobel's book 'The Case for Christ' particularly helpful and have re-read it several times. I'm hoping my wife will read it some day. I'm reading Bible commentaries from IVP, and have started to use the web to learn more and regain the Christian faith that was strangled so quickly 12 years ago. I am very much in need of people's prayer to help me along (leaving Islam must be rather like being a recovering alcoholic) so I am very happy that you are willing to pray for me. I have found Christians at work who are willing to pray with me and go through the Bible, and I am especially blessed to have cousins in Australia, South Africa and New Zealand who are born-again Christians and who are actively praying for me, emailing me and phoning me to check on my progress. With my hectic travelling lifestyle finding a settled church or group isn't so easy (especially as Christianity seems to be so much on the retreat in the UK) but fortunately the web provides a virtual community that I can access from anywhere.

So once again thank you - and don't worry it's OK if you want to send the occasional email - it's reassuring to know that someone out there is watching out for me.

You have a done nice job with the website, using excellent color schemes and a clean and efficient layout. You have a handsome family, Steve, God has blessed you greatly. I’m sure you wouldn’t dream of trading your lovely wife and precious children for all the Houries in “paradise”. In comparison, the teaching of Christ assures you that you will know your family through out eternity... and not have to trade them in on 72 "virgins"..

As I view the images of your home and surrounding area, I can’t help but compare it to the beauty of where God has placed me here in Mexico to serve Him. We should never take such blessings for granted. Most people on this earth will never see what you and I behold daily.

I can very much relate to your recognizing God in the waves and power of the ocean. I hold a US Coast Guard Captain’s license and at one time operated my own Express Cruiser on the coastal waters around the USA. I have always stood in awe of His watery creation and have often pondered what Noah must have felt like while deep in the hold of the Arc, and in the Hands of an awesome and all powerful God. The ocean has also made me wonder out loud how any man could spend time on her and not recognize there is a Creator, and that He is in full control of all that He has made. The equal testimony in nature of His existence is the night sky. We live a mile high here in the Sierra Madres Mountains and this unusually clear atmosphere lends to the illusion that you could reach out and touch the stars. This theater of majesty is my beginning to each day. I start out many of my days around 5:30AM with prayer time on our upper terrace, while giving thanks for another day of life.

God has placed it on my heart to tell you that "You have always belonged to Him. That He wrote your name in His Book of Life before the foundations the world were ever laid." I believe that what you have gone through with your experiences with Islam and Christianity have been ordained by God Himself that you could help and guide others that are about to fall into the trap of Islam. Your experience with the Holy Spirit is proof positive that you are a Child of God. Nothing that happens in your life is just coincidence. He has a perfect plan for you.

In closing for now, I must tell you… the Hug you felt was definitely from God. I have often felt this same open affection from God myself and I have shouted for Joy, much to the dismay of anyone in my near proximity. That, which you and I have both experienced, is the Comforter, the Holy Spirit. It is He, the third person of the Holy Trinity, whom Christ promised the Father would send in His stead.

First of all I want to say that the little I have seen of this massive website
is wonderful. I have only began to view some of it. However, I have been researching
the "Rapture" and wanted to know what your opinion is regarding when the
"rapture" will occur. I have always believed in the Pre-tribulation but
have recently discovered that this may not be so. I am leaning more toward a mid-tribulation
"rapture", at the end of the first 3 1/2 years of the tribulation and
just before the sounding of the seventh trumpet. That of course will begin the
Great Tribulation. I would appreciate hearing back from you. In the mean time

If you read the America is Warned page, you saw that we lived in New Orleans for most of our lives. New Orleans was an almost decent town 25 years ago, but as the ungodliness began to grow there, we moved away. We live in the Sierra Madres of Mexico now and God has allowed me to continue my online website work by satellite.

I saw someone in my site yesterday from Louisiana, might have been you. I have a site tracking software that allows me to view visitors as they enter and browse the pages of my web sites in live-time. I receive the visitor's IP address, state, and country info. You were in the ReligionStudy.com site along with visitors from The United Arab Emirates, Lebanon, Germany, and Japan. The Louisiana link was good to see. It made me kind of home sick..

Do you believe in the pre-tribulation rapture of the church of Jesus Christ? Your article on False Messiahs was interesting!

Hello, Phil. I was a believer in pre-tribulation rapture for 25 years. I now have come to believe we will see the beginning of the tribulation period and be "raptured" around or after mid tribulation. I fear that many pre-trib believers will be unprepared spiritually due to not having a scriptural foundation of knowledge of what to expect during tribulation. I have found that as a pre-trib believer I did not study the bible as much as I should have. I took a more complacent view of God's teachings regarding the end times. I tended to just leave it up to Jesus to come bail me out when all hell breaks lose during the great tribulation on earth.

I have diligently searched the scriptures and prayed for God's Holy Spirit to enlighten me. I've become aware of how important it is to be strong in the Word of God in order to face the trails that are coming soon to this planet. As a Christian I must have a clear mind, and not be fearful while I watch the prophecies unfold. I can only do that by studying the Bible to prepare for being here on earth during part of the tribulation. If I am spiritually prepared through scripture, I will have God's Word to hold onto. If I don't prepare, I could be seduced by the "lie" and fail to recognize the anti-Christ when he comes. If I am not scripture sound in my understanding of end time events, and I do believe the "Lie", then God will send His "Strong Delusion" as a curse on me for being unprepared to see and follow His truth .

I guess it can be looked at like a road trip, those that are well prepared will have less problems than those that don't expect any trouble and make very little preparation, if at all.

It is such a very important issue today. My web site visitor statistics reports show thousands of visitors that arrive every month through search engine keyword searches regarding "end time prophecy" and hundreds are asking about the rapture.

I'm preparing a web page on my rapture beliefs, but it will be a few days before I can complete it. I'm filing your email here and will send you a link when my Surviving Till Rapture page goes live online.

I look at Matthew 25; 4 as being our prompting to be prepared for when the bridegroom Jesus returns, even if it is at midnight. The oil in the wise virgin's lamps is symbolic of scriptural awareness and spiritual discernment. Be prepared.

Wow, what a site. I was lead to this site while doing some research on what Muslims teach their children. Never have I seen anything like it. The more I ventured onto this site and the more I saw I found it very difficult to turn the computer off. Bless you for all of your hard work and following what God wants you to do for Him.

I am desperately trying to get the Word of God out to as many people as I can before He comes to take His people home. Time is short as prophecies are unfolding right before our eyes. It is amazing to be aware of what every event means and who is coming. Praise God as for me and my house we will serve the Lord. But in many houses this is not the case and I am doing my part in keeping the Great Commission as are you.

Yes, Laura, the time is short till Jesus returns. I have a software in my web sites that shows me when visitors enter my sites and which pages they browse. I also can see the keywords they use in search engines to get to the site. Many are seeking information on Bible prophecy of the end times and of Jesus' return. We have been contacted by 3 people in the last two days that have been having dreams of terrible violence, world wide war, and great tribulation. All three have been led to accept Jesus because the dreams have shown them their need to come to Christ immediately. One of them, a young Mexican girl has begun a Bible study here at our home tonight and brought her mom, aunt, and a friend. She took God's warning through a prophetic dream seriously.

Thank you for allowing me to use what I can from your website. You may find I visit it often as there is so much to read. I believe in the Pre-Wrath rapture of the Church. I also know none of us know for sure when God is coming for us. Jesus doesn't know so it stands to reason we can't. That is why it is so important to make everyday count and do His work. We also never know what will happen in this day in age. April 19 OKC, Sept. 11 NYC, Katrina in New Orleans, wildfires in California all God's way, in my humble opinion, of trying to wake this nation up and return to Him. Unfortunately many people did not see or want to see that this Nation has strayed so far from God that He is allowing things to happen to bring this nation back to Him. I could go on and on but I won't because I know you are busy.

It is my understanding that you are from New Orleans, Louisiana. There is much work to be done in this state. There has been a significant increase in violence and drug use. Please pray for us as I am praying for you. Some of our local pastors are looking to Muslims for help in curbing the violence. You and I both know that Islam is not a religion of peace. The fact of the matter is it comes from Satan and he is not one to "hang out with." Yes, we must witness to them as Christ instructed us to do but they do not have any answers that will lead to anything good.

Keep spreading the good news of Life in Christ. I was encouraged by what you said about the Bible Study. God teaches us that where three are more are gathered in My Name there I am also and in another verse and a child shall lead them. There is as I said in my last email much work to be done.

I've become very worried about how millions of "Christians" are seeking after doctrine
other than that of the Bible. In order to warn about the subtle ploy of Satan in the
Christian church today, I purchased a new domain name last week, "ApostateChurch.com" and
will have it online in a few weeks. In researching for the content I see that the great
falling away from God's pure and Holy Word is taking place even more quickly than I
realized.

Please think of me from time to time and pray that I will be guided and encouraged by the
Holy Spirit. I get overwhelmed by this task, but in my weakness Christ is strong. May God

Dear Sir, I read your website with great interest. I want to report a minor problem about the site. I don't want to offend anybody, but please accept my suggestion that the heading under Islam contains the holly mosque in Jerusalem and on the corner there is shown a Turkish flag as a representative of Islamic religion. As far as to my knowledge Turkey is an Islamic country, but not a representative one. The statistics mentioning that 99% of the population is Islamic is not correct. Islamic belief in this country is a lot of different than mostly believed and Arabian style Islam is worshipped only by a minority; in the last election radical Islamic party got 2,5% and their newspaper sells only 50,000 which is a problem causing a great concern to them. Although radicals are minority they make so much noise making use of the democratic system. To my opinion, Turkish flag does not represent Islam on a universal website, it wish if it could be changed with another suitable flag. People like me (millions) live in a peaceful and secular (laicism) life with Jewish, Armenian, Greek, Assyrian and many other friends and trying to raise our children with humanistic virtues. Several people have been told in their dreams they must choose to accept Christ, even though they thought they were already saved. Many are dreaming of massive destruction coming upon the world, particularly on America, and have renewed their walk with the Lord in preparation of standing strong in faith through the trouble coming.

I have only recently returned to the lord. I pray daily and read god's word, I pray that I be filled with the holy spirit and to be able to lead souls to Christ before he returns.

This is a great site. My name is Brian and I am 31 years old. I Grew up in the deep south and sat under some of those same racist pastors that you spoke about in your diatribe on some Sundays. So as an impressionable young person, believing the way I thought Christ would approve of, I embraced in a lot of the same views. Most of my friends were members of the KKK and some of them were skins. And you know as a teenager, in the struggle to gain acceptance from the people around me, I wore all the anti-Semitic and white power symbols and clothing, e.g. red laces in my Black Doc Martins, Odin's rune, To Hell or Not stickers on my books and locker. (common greeting for ranking Klansmen). But I guess it was when I turned 17 the holy spirit showed me two verses out of the Bible that helped me come to the hard truth that if we were all to die that very moment that we would "bust hell wide open", as my Dad used to say. The Holy Spirit led my heart to share them with you and to let you know that a lot of the people that make it to your site are young, impressionable just like me at 17 and searching for hate propaganda.

#1 Paul said, "When I was a child, I thought, spoke, and acted like a child, but when I became a man I put away all Childish things. So that day at 17 I put all childish things away. I got rid of my propaganda and rhetoric and most of my friends.

#2 This was another revelation from the Holy Ghost that I was imparted in my twenties when I was going through some of the same issues; God says if you claim to love God but hate your neighbor, then you are a liar. Because if you can physically see your neighbor and live beside him everyday and hate him how can you possibly love a God whom you can't see and that you have to love through faith and nothing more?

All I can say is Wow! I was just getting a presentation together about my families trip to Israel to present to my home group and I stumbled across your website. I have never come across a Christian or Jewish based web site that I have agreed with more.

I thought it was cool that you have a ministry in Mexico and have a heart for Israel because my sons are half Mexican on their fathers side and half Jewish on my side. It's not the usual combination but I think it's fun. When my son had his bar mitzvah had a flag of Mexico, a flag of Israel, and a flag of the United States at the reception. We had taquitos and lox and bagels. (no carnitas because the synagogue is biblically kosher)

Anyways, I would love to learn more. Do you have a school? This is the kind of teaching I need. My family is very diverse. My father is a Bulgarian Jew that fled to Israel during WWII when he was 2. My Mom is a first generation American. My grandmother came to NY when she was 5 years old from Austria. There is nothing I could want more than to see my whole family come to know Gods plan of Salvation. Please help.

Barry, I agree with you concerning America and have had feelings that the Lord will lift his protective shield from our Nation. I know we must go out and preach the Gospel and give all glory to God. I know we thank our savior Jesus Christ. My confusion is about scripture concerning how a Christian deals with government authority. Right now our leaders have violated our Constitution. The Federal Reserve, the Patriot Act, Unconstitutional Wars, the list is long. Has God been telling you through the Holy Spirit to fight back? The so called New World Order which is hardly "new" is on our doorstep. The European Union, The recent signing by Bush to dissolve our borders with Canada and Mexice and form a North American Union, the Council on Foreign Relations trying to institute three currencies for the entire world...these events are alarming. You can read about these warning signs in many books of the Bible including Revelations. As Christians I have this inner feeling that the Lord wants us
to do more than pray and repent. It is my fear that only a small percentage of us will repent and this nation is headed for disaster. America has been betrayed by corrupt politicians to the "power elite" of this world. How does a Christian fight what is going on around in a manner that is pleasing to God?

Hello, Dean. Thank you for writing to me. It is good to hear from someone likeminded. I too struggle with these exact questions regarding our due response to America’s government. I can tell you what my opinion is regarding these matters, but I can in no way tell you that you should follow my example. I am not sure that you found and read all of the “America is Warned” page online, but in it I mention that I have moved out of the US to Mexico. I could no longer live among the sin of the US and I was also prompted to take my family and flee from God’s soon coming wrath on America. Let me explain that I am not a fanatic, not hallucinatory, and am in no way desirous that America be destroyed, however I do foresee the destruction coming, and I do not want my family or myself to be held blameful when it happens. If I remain among and take part, or allow, the sins of the nation, then I will be held accountable for such.

I am fighting back by pleading for America to wake up to the sins being allowed and even promoted by its citizens and government. I see that America has raised its fist of rebellion at God and He is about to respond. Dean, rely on God’s Holy Spirit for guidance and pray specifically to be in His will as to where you live out these last days. If God tells you to leave America don’t hesitate to obey His prompting. The One World Government and One World Religion are practically at our door, so then is the rule of the anti-Christ and the return of Jesus. Thanks for the article on delusion. I been studying the Bible and Hebrew culture on my own
for several years and noticed distinct differences in current Christian lifestyles and treatment
of each other. I just been bothered and cannot accept this as normal. Even among Baptists ministers, it's been a lot of weird emerging church doctrine and charismatic stuff that does
not follow scripture. I seen a lot of changes in church for the last 18 years and it's scary. I
|have not been able to go with the flow these days. Last month, this subject came into my
mind over and over until I prayed with another Christian about this subject and read NT and
OT scriptures. They repented and got scared because they confessed being under some kind
of mental fog and lust where they lead others astray and taught different gospel etc. as if driven by something. They new what the truth was but something influenced them to influence others and get into sin because of grace etc. Your article hit the nail on the head! God will fill you with something in these last days. All of us better choose His word and Holy Ghost. Even Pastors and ministers had better go back to the basics. This delusion is really strong on weak willed and people that are not bonded to GOD in faith.
